Trago Mills 6th December 2008

We went to Trago Mills in Newton Abbot with Trixie and Leo last Saturday. Unfortunately Merry could not come as he is currently at different grazing.

The ponies both loaded and travelled well to Trago and behaved very well thoughout the day. This was Leo's first trip out and he proved to be the chilled out pony we thought he was. He gave the first pushchair he saw a slightly quizzical look but wasn't too concerned! The main problem was Trixie taking advantage of being in charge, she kept backing in to Leo and threatening him so we put made the one large pen in to 2 smaller ones and kept them both occupied with haylage and carrots throughout the day!

Bot ponies enjoyed meeting all the people. We loaded them back on the trailer at around 3pm so we could get them back to the fields whilst it was still light, again the both loaded well, Leo was slightly hesitant but only because he had a forklift whizzing by and lots of people watching him load, after a couple of minutes of thinking things through he decided it was ok to get back on the trailer (much to our relief as we didn't want to leave him there)!

Many thanks to everyone who came over, we raised just under £80 which will certainly help towards the winter feed bill!!

We will be back again with them on 13th December so hopefully see you then!

Below are some photos - apologies for the poor quality I forgot my camera and so had to use my phone

Stunning Black Dartmoor Gelding for Loan

A friend of mine has been in touch about a Dartmoor X she has available for loan with possible view to buy, below are the details:

"my little dartmoor x thats been with my nephews for the last 2 years has now been outgrown, and they want to bring him back, but i've got no one small enough to ride him, do you know of anyone that would like a little dartmoor x approx 12 hands, excellent in everyway, loves jumping, gymkana games etc etc,has been shown in mountain and moorland classes and won a few times, hes black, aged 6, really really friendly but does have mild sweetitch in the summer but with rug and care he doesnt loose his hair, hes been shown all summer,i'm looking to loan him out initially, ive got some pictures of him, my sister in law broke him in for me and hes been ridden out for the last 2 years by my nephews aged 9 and 11 but they've now lost interest and dont want to ride him, she'll keep him for me until the spring, he lives out but has been clipped so wears a rug"
